Foothills Goat & Sheep Producers Association boasts a growing membership of small family farms from both Carolinas, Georgia and Indiana. We are a diverse mix of commercial producers and purebred seedstock suppliers, dairy and meat producers, hobbyists and full-time farmers, all with one goal in common…to achieve individual and collective success in the goat and sheep industry.
Members support and learn from each other, and work collaboratively to promote the industry and to solve management and marketing challenges. Other benefits of membership include:

Billy's Goat Hill is a family-owned and operated meat goat farm in upstate South Carolina by Jim. Gaylene and Billy Carson. Our breeding program strives to improve meat goat standards through careful genetic selection and culling of animals that don't quite measure up to our demands. Our emphasis is to offer delicious, mild, tender, healthy goat meat for sale direct to local consumers. We supply our delicious product to several local restaurants, family farm stores, and direct from our farm. We occasionally sell market kids and supreme breeding & show stock. In addition to providing leadership to a 4-H livestock club, coordinating the SC 4-H & FFA Meat Goat Project and raising goats of our own, we also run an auction company. Keller Auctions is devoted to giving you the best service you deserve. Our business is to ease the burden of selling your personal property to the highest bidder. We offer a broad range of auction services. Most of our auctions are on site and we can coordinate your sale whether it is personal property, a business, farm estate or industrial location. B-Mack Farms is located in the Coastal Plains of North Carolina just south of Kinston, NC. Our Boer goats are situated around our hog nursery and eleven-house turkey operation which helps us control our pasture land. We have purchased some of the finest genetics in the United States and our commitment to excellence has proven beneficial. At this time, we feel that we can compete with the most selective breeders in the country and we are only on the rise. We have been in the livestock industry for two generations growing up in southern Oklahoma raising pure bred Hampshire hogs. RM Ranch has demonstrated success in producing and maintaining a very high quality Boer goat that will meet the requirements of the South African and the American Boer Goat Association breed standards. Owner Roger McSwain has accomplished this by increasing his knowledge and skills in critical areas of the business. He has completed Level I and Level II Judging School and is certified as a judge by ABGA. The judging schools, a trip to the South Africa National Show, visiting some of the top breeders in South African a lot of hands-on trial and error of the breeding process had set in motion a steady flow of Grand Champion wins throughout many states.

Glenreid Farm is a family farm nestled in the rolling foothills of the Piedmont Plateau some 50 mile southeast of Asheville, NC. The land has been part of a small family farm for many generations. In 2009, Steve and Donna Reid purchased two parcels and combined with the management team of Matt and Megan Reid to create Glenreid Farms. They immediately began a revitalization program and transition to sustainable farming practices. Glenreid Farms is now cultivating an abundance of nutritious grasses and forage that naturally sustain all their livestock in harmony with nature.

Located in Taylors SC, we produce quality Boer goats that excel both in the show ring as well as in the pasture. Matt's interest in Boer goats began back in 2003 when he purchased his home in Taylors SC. His home had an empty pasture that was just begging for some type of livestock. Once the first goat was purchased, the addiction started immediately. Matt is an Agriculture teacher, so to fuel his addiction, he decided to encourage his FFA members to participate in the SC Wether Goat Project sponsored by Clemson University. Through the years, his FFA students have dominated the senior show class & even won Grand Champion in the 2008 project. Joy Rollins tolerates the goats but does not have the same addiction that Matt seems to have. Please, no goat talk when she's around.
